Questions
Answered before you pay anything
The questions people actually ask on the first call, answered plainly. If yours is not here, ask it — there is no charge for a question.
Will I have to break walls?
Almost never. Demolition is a last resort, not a first prescription. In the large majority of homes and offices the correction lies in re-purposing rooms, relocating heavy mass, adjusting fire and water points, and changing what materials and colours sit in which direction. If a structural change genuinely is the only answer, we will say so plainly and tell you what it costs — but you will not find it recommended casually.
What is Vastu Shastra, in plain terms?
Vastu is a Vedic system of architecture and design, recorded in ancient texts, that sets out rules for designing and constructing buildings systematically. Its underlying idea is that a space is shaped by five elements — water, fire, earth, space and wind — and that when a building is aligned with them, the energy moving through it works with the people inside rather than against them.
How long does a consultation take?
The site visit itself is one to two hours for a home, two to three for an office, and three to four for an industrial premises. The written report follows within 7 days for on-site consultations and within 3 days for online ones.
Do you consult for clients outside India?
Yes. Clients across more than 50 countries have been served, most of them through online consultation over video call. You share the floor plan, a compass reading and photographs; we verify the orientation independently against satellite mapping before the call.
What do you need from me before we start?
A floor plan with directions marked, a compass reading taken at the main entrance, details of what surrounds the site, and a brief history of the premises. If you do not have a floor plan, a hand-drawn sketch with measurements is usually enough to begin.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on the size and type of the premises and whether the consultation is on-site or online, so they are quoted after the initial conversation rather than listed as a fixed price. You will have the figure in writing before any work begins.
How soon will I see a difference?
This varies, and anyone who gives you a guaranteed timeline is guessing. Some changes register within weeks; structural ones take a season to settle. What we can commit to is that the report tells you what each remedy is meant to shift, so you know what you are watching for.
What happens after the report?
Backup support for the same premises is free for one year. You can call or write with questions as you implement, send photographs of the work in progress, and ask for clarification on anything in the report at no additional cost.
Can you work with my architect before construction?
Yes, and this is the least expensive way to get Vastu right. Correcting a plan on paper costs a fraction of correcting a building. We work directly with architects on plot orientation, entrance placement and internal zoning at the drawing stage.
Is a consultation useful before I buy a property?
It is arguably the single most valuable point at which to get one. A pre-purchase reading tells you what is structurally sound, what is correctable, and what would need money you have not budgeted — while you still have room to negotiate or walk away.
Still unsure?
Tell us about the building and what prompted you to look into this. If a consultation is not the right answer, we will say so.
